An update from A-Town…

I rolled into town yesterday before five; just in time to see my dad trek out of the woods where he has been chopping wood.  This particular tree he set out to conquer (fallen during the big storm)  ”chopped like butter.” Well said Dad, well said.  Having his personal bartendress home is always a treat and I [...]

Home Sweet Home

I am fresh from the shower and finishing the last minute packing for my Spring Break trip home to Astoria.  Excitement doesn’t even begin to describe the waves of joy fluttering through me.

Five days in a home that I feel like my real self in.
Five days with two people I love more than everyone else combined in [...]

Tonight I dined on…

… Eggplant Parmesan.
Which not so loosely translates to eggplants smothered in cheese, with a splash or tomato sauce.
Yum.
Once the cheesy goodness settles, I will conquer the following projects:
– laundry.
– finish rearranging my room.
– make my bed so I have someplace to rest my head this evening.

I got a phone call from Big ASS today…

…wanting the scoop on the whole Trasholla/Nathan thing.

Another reason…

… I can’t go home again.
Trasholla is apparently sleeping with Nathan.

Must be her way of getting back at me for “fucking her husband.”
Nathan never did have very good taste in women.
I’d like to think I was the exception.
And Val of course (his girlfriend).
She is wonderful.
Tamera is still TRASH ;)

I’m going home for Spring break…

… Part of it anyway.  The plan of attack was actually for my mom to come and visit to see where I lived, meet Manka (the roommate) and play down on NW 23rd; but I much prefer the change that doesn’t involve me spending hours cleaning my house.
I will head home on Tuesday after work [...]

Sarah Goodnough is great!

I fell in love with this painting the moment I first saw it sitting on the floor at the Baked Alaska.  Sarah was so incredibly friendly and down to earth and her work speaks for itself.  I have always wanted that perfect Astoria print, and I think this may be it.  Although I have not [...]

It’s true what they say…

… about not being able to go home again.
I rolled into town 6:30ish last Tuesday evening; just in time for catch up with mom and dad before I went and met up with three amazing pieces of ASS.  Zetty’s husband Nims cooked a delicious Dijon Garlic Pork Loin– emphasis on the GARLIC, which meant my [...]

It is a small world…

I was checking out the archives at I Suwannee and stumbled upon a blogger who is currently living in my home town.  She is a photographer and has some very beautiful pictures posted on her website.  Go check her out here.
